Gay Endings is a series creating fictional film still from fictional queer love stories. Historically queer films are tragedies, ending in death or having faced homophobia and met with unacceptance from society at large. I wanted to create stills that tell the same stories as straight films (romcoms and dramas) that give lighter endings or tell stories about love. using real queer couples as the stars of the stills creates a dichotomy of fictional and yet documentary stories. These triptychs are filling a need of mine to watch queer media without feeling heartbroken by the end.
